Origins Product Review

A couple of months ago, Influenster teamed up with Origins and sent me a few products to try out for free. When I found out that I’d be receiving some products to try I was pretty excited, because I remembered a particular time when I was younger where my mom get really excited to receive an Origins lotion as a Christmas gift. Ever since then I’ve had some pretty high expectations of the brand, even though I never actually used them. Until now….I’ve been using these products pretty religiously for these last two months so I’ve got good grasp on how each product works, and I have to say I’m pretty impressed.

High Potency Night-A-Mins Overnight renewal cream – This stuff feels really great going onto the skin! It’s like I’m covering my face in silk. It’s a night cream so it’s a little thick, but overwhelmingly so. It’s just enough to keep you moisturized throughout the night without leaving a greasy residue on your pillow. By morning time I noticed that my skin was very smooth and it didn’t feel greasy at all.

Ginzeng Moisturizer – This was one of my favorite products that I received. It’s lightweight, but really does the job as far as moisturizing goes. It has a light, citrus scent with a hint of ginger that worked to make me feel invigorated and ready to start my day. LOVED this one!

Ginzeng Eye Cream – I only used this about 1 or 2 times. It’s purpose is to reduce dark under eye circles and minimize puffiness, and I don’t usually have that issue. I actually have the opposite issue with deep set under eyes, so I felt like using this product would be an unnecessary step in my morning routine. The couple of times that I did use it – there was no noticeable difference, but again, that may be to me having deep set under eyes.

Clear Improvement Purifying Charcoal Mask – I don’t really have much of an opinion of the Charcoal mask. Like most other face masks that I’ve tried – It made my skin feel soft and clean but I haven’t seen a noticeable difference as far as skin tone and discoloration goes.

Check & Balances Frothy Face Wash – This is my other favorite product! When it comes to face washes, I’ve only ever used drug store brands that have all had this similar, artificial feeling that I didn’t notice until I started using Checks & Balances. It’s hard for me to explain, but I could tell that I was putting better quality ingredients on my face by the way that the Check & Balances felt in comparison to every other face wash I’ve used. It also leaves my skin feeling clean without feeling completely stripped of the oils that your face actually needs. It also has a light, spearmint smell that’s really pleasing.

I’ll definitely be incorporating some of these products into my daily skincare routine, along with a few other things I’ve seen on their site that have intrigued me.

Have you tried anything by Origins? Which of their products do you like?

*Although I was sent these products to try for free – all thoughts and opinions remain my own.
